At HART Design, we strive to provide you with the convenience and many advantages of technology available online. To provide personalized experiences and amenities to improve those online experiences, our websites may collect and use your information.

What Information We Collect

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store. We collect Personal Information you enter in order to let you create an account, order products, contact us, and sign up for our mailing list(s). Register on our website if you’d like to receive our newsletter as well as updates on our new products and services. Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the registration form.

Personal Information includes personal data, such as name, email address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase information; and technical data, such as analytics and information about cookies.

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Comments

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them. When you leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact Forms

When you provide personal data it is captured when you submit a contact form. Submissions are kept in our records so we may provide you with the best possible customer service. We do not use the information submitted through our forms for marketing purposes unless it is a form where you are specifically signing up to add yourself to a mailing list or to request inclusion in another marketing campaign.

What Information We Use

We use your information you entered when placing an order to complete that order and keep a record of that order for your convenience. Payments

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

By paying by submitting a Purchase Order your data,  including information required to process or support the payment, may be shared

Contact Forms

Data Used: Akismet is enabled on the site, the contact form submission data — IP address, user agent, name, email address, website, and message — is submitted to the Akismet service (also owned by Automattic) for the sole purpose of spam checking. The actual submission data is stored in the database of the site on which it was submitted and is emailed directly to the owner of the form (i.e. the site author who published the page on which the contact form resides). This email will include the submitter’s IP address, timestamp, name, email address, website, and message.

Data Synced: Post and post meta data associated with a user’s contact form submission. If Akismet is enabled on the site, the IP address and user agent originally submitted with the comment are synced, as well, as they are stored in post meta.

Analytics

We use third-party Service Providers, including but not limited to Google Analytics, to monitor and analyze the use of our Site.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic.  Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Site.  This data is shared with other Google services.  Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Site available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.  The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity. Google Analytics is a tool that helps us measure how users interact with website content. The data that Google Analytics uses to provide all the information in our reports comes from these sources:

  • The HTTP request of the user (you)
  • Browser/system information
  • First-party cookies

Who on Our Team Has Access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

How Long We Retain Your Data

We retain personal data collected or processed by the web site to provide you with the best possible experience. We keep contact form entries, analytics records, and customer purchase records indefinitely.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

You have rights over your data and can invoke those rights.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can email Parts@HartDesign.com and request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

You may also contact Parts@HartDesign.com to request any changes or updates to your personally identifiable information and/or company records. To maintain data accuracy, prevent unauthorized access, and safeguard the correct use of information, we have established proper physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure information collected online.

Protecting Children’s Privacy

We don’t structure our website to attract young children, and we never collect or use information of users we know are under 13. If we discover such information, we’ll delete it immediately. If you believe we have information from or about any children under the age of 13, please contact us immediately so we may remove it.

HART Design reserves to change this policy at any time, with or without prior notification. Please review this page periodically for modifications.
